900 runners set to descend on the Hūnua Traverse

June 3, 2024

On Sunday 9 June, the Auckland Trail Series descends on the Hūnua Ranges Regional Park. This running and walking event will see 900 competitors depart from the Upper Mangatawhiri Valley between 9-11am, utilising local roads and trails to complete courses ranging in length from 6-21km.

The Hūnua Traverse will remain open to cyclists during this event, but as always cyclists are reminded to share with care. Waterline Road, between Ernie’s Track at the Upper Mangatawhiri Campsite and south along A.R.A Drive to the Pukapuka Track will be affected.
